Reports from Louisville Gun Show?
Reports from Louisville Gun Show?
I won't go to the Louisville show this week but will probably drop by the one in Lexington in two weeks. Reports that I've read from gun shows around the country have noted big crowds, high prices, somewhat limited stock.
Anyone who actually went to the show in Louisville this weekend (Mar. 2 - 3) care to share their impressions? In particular, if you've been to other KY gun shows this year, did things this weekend look better, worse, or about the same?
Look forward to some eyewitness reports.

Debating whether or not to go. After paying for parking and admission, it really jacks up the already high panic prices of the things I would be looking for. I may go, just for the entertainment of it all.

I went, paid for parking and sold my gun in line. Not worth it. Probably a 30 minute wait for tickets and 30 minutes to get in.

Reports from Louisville Gun Show?
Reports from a couple of friends say not worth it. If you want memorabilia it's good, but if your looking for gun/ammo deals forget it.
Oh, how so high they fly........ only further to fall.

Reports from Louisville Gun Show?
I rode by on the way to and from work. The expressway was backed up as far as I could see at 7:40am. On the way home 30 min ago it looked like the fair was going on! Packed packed packed. I guess Louisville isn't so gun unfriendly despite what the media wants to portray us as.

Here now, someone was selling tickets if you had exact cash out in the lobby, 5 minute wait to get in. Most items are high except for a few if you look close enough. Only been down 7 isles or so

Re: Reports from Louisville Gun Show?
I went, waste of time (alot of time) and money. Most prices crazy limited stock, noticed lots of new buyer by the questions they asked heard at least 2 AR buyers ask "how do you cock it", Unfortunatly I think there will be alot gun related accidents this coming year and alot of these gun will end up in pawn shops after this panic is over and the bills dont pass. Just my opinion
Re: Reports from Louisville Gun Show?
I went this morning, was worth it for me .
AR uppers there as I reported in another thread. Got one from one dealer in trade for around 550 (complete). Ammo pretty much not worth buying it because it was so high. I got a rock river lpk for 80 and a collapsible RRA stock setup for 50.
AR's were priced reasonably by some, crappy by others. Sherwood had reasonable on his (sub 1k price on bushmaster, stag, etc.; 1500 on colt 6920). Little higher than normal he said because he can't get many guns so he has to raise the price on some of the ones he does to be able to cover his overhead. I understand it. He is not getting rich because he had 8 people there working just to cover the crowd.

Re: Reports from Louisville Gun Show?
I went and the ammo to freakin high for this poorboy, ar's sorta good, uppers to high in my opinion? Was fun to go to see all the crazy deals and people trying to but stuff and sell stuff for crazy $$$$$$.
Re: Reports from Louisville Gun Show?
I went. First of all the parking fee and admission is entertainment so I dont count this.I bought a RCBS powder measure and stand for 20 bucks, a set of Burris 1 inch scope rings for 5 bucks, 130 Hornady bullets for the 44 for 10 bucks, and 100 Bullets for the 44 for 21.99. I talked to a few people and just enjoyed myself well worth the money. It was crowded and the lines were long but I only spent about 20 minutes standing in line.
