Attakid. Something to be said for a good ol' utilitarian pistol. If it was good enough for the boys in the trenches, its good enough for me. Nothing fancy or flashy, just a tool for the toolbox. Understated is best, I'm a humble man with simple tastes.Lady Luck wrote:Ill take a plain 1911.

I wanted my 1st 1911 to be what our soldiers used for 75 years. I will own others for sure, but this one will always be the one that started it.
Cutting grass is the price I gladly pay for not being cold.

My norinco chop job is coming together, I added a few more pieces and fitted a set of grips to it. Basic checkered GI style (but black), shaped to fit the bob. Now all I need to do is cut the gutter sight or whatever I decide, carry cuts and ball end cut the slide lightening radius, put a finish on it and fit the ejector. Right now I'm leaning towards a nice tan rattle can paint job. Nothing but the best for Chinese garbage!
