What's your next purchase?
Johnny wants gun discussion, so what's your next gun related purchase and why?
I'm thinking about a decent shotgun for birds. Mainly dove. Haven't been dove hunting, but I'd like to give it a shot.

Re: What's your next purchase?
I'm pretty happy with what I have now, but there's a ways more wants...haha I think getting reloading setup up and running will be a piority. I have everything for 9mm. I would also like to do .45acp, 7mm and .308 down the road too. A nice full length (24-28") 12ga is also high on the list.

Start with the can and stamp, then pick up threaded barrels and guns while your waiting. It helps pass time while your waiting, and waiting, and waiting...hahaRem700 wrote:My next will be a threaded 10-22. Then shortly after a can and stamp. Hopefully around Xmas time

Re: What's your next purchase?
Ammo and training. Then, a bit more ammo and a bit more training. After that, I think I'll pick up some ammo and attend a training course.
On the hardware side, I'm going back and forth on deciding to go all Glock or switch to the H&K VP9. I'm completely on the fence, so I'll likely let my lady decide. If she heavily prefers/performs drastically better with one over the other, we'll both use that one for magazine/parts/manual of arms commonality. If we go Glock I need a G19 or a G17/G34 to chop down. If we go VP9 I'll need to sell a pretty badass G17 and go VP9. At this time I'm not so heavily invested in Glock that I can't switch, so now is the time to decide. Regardless, I really need a good belt. I think I'll get one from The Beltman.
Much less importantly, I really want a precision 16" AR upper and a long range bolt gun. Both of those are far less practical though, especially considering I already have a high quality 14.5" set up and I know that I can make hits on man sized targets out to at least 500 yards with an abused rack grade M4. The long range stuff will probably have to wait quite a while.
I also want to get into the NFA game, so I guess I need to start working on a trust and putting in SBR/suppressor paperwork.

Re: What's your next purchase?
I just started tinkering with an Armalite AR10A4 carbine and Black Dove Customs is on my Winchester Model 70 in 30/06. It will fit right in with the 308's and 300 Win Mags. I should have ammo for any long range occasion!

Definitely own a threaded 10/22, but what you NEED is a FVSR and a threaded 22/45 (unless your a lefty).Rem700 wrote:Good advice lolNiceguy wrote:Start with the can and stamp, then pick up threaded barrels and guns while your waiting. Re: What's your next purchase?
I'd recommend going ahead and doing a trust if you haven't. It's definitely worth it because 99.9% chance your going to want more...haha I wish I would have done it 3 suppressors ago now.rustynuts wrote:Yeah, need to hit up Allan.Niceguy wrote:Snap to it muchacho...haharustynuts wrote:Already have two threaded 10/22s. Give Mike Boone (Lincoln Arms) a call. He has a guy out your way he deals with on them and is a pretty good deal. Mike will make anything to do with it easier than you can imagine. Great guy to do business with, and he's practically your neighbor.rustynuts wrote:That too.Niceguy wrote:I'd recommend going ahead and doing a trust if you haven't.
