She's done (for now)
My first time ever modding a gun (other than popping crap on AR rails). 10/22. Ruger BX Trigger. Volquartzen auto bolt release, extended mag release, and buffer pin. ER Shaw 18" barrel, KIDD V-block, and a Magpul Hunter X22 stock. Scope is a Veridian Eon that came with the gun. I am amazed how easy this stuff was to do. Can't wait to shoot her this weekend.
Also, a barrel storage question for the original tapered one. I cleaned it and lightly oiled it inside and out then vacuum sealed it. Is this ok for storage? Better idea?

Re: She's done (for now)
Beautiful! I have a very similar setup, but with a KIDD barrel. It's crazy how easy they are to tinker with isn't it?! They are addicting. I grew up with a Deluxe model of my dad's and now I've narrowed down to 8 or 9 I think...haha
I have at least one blued barrel I basically did the same thing to quite a while ago and they still look like the day I wiped them down.

Extremely easy. I wanted a slick thumbhole stock but they are a lot more money and I am pushing my luck with the wife on gun purchases this year. Just over another month to go until the new gun buying year!Niceguy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 17, 2022 10:05 pmBeautiful! I have a very similar setup, but with a KIDD barrel. You did an awesome job!
I just keep my old barrels in a storage bin and never had an issue with rust or anything.

Re: She's done (for now)
Now she's done f'real. Sorry Toddstang. Only thing left on your 10/22 is the receiver, and 2 pivot pins that hold in the trigger group
Magpul Hunter X-22 Stock. Volquartzen Auto-bolt release, extended mag release, and buffer pin. KIDD ultra lightweight 16" barrel, V-block, Scalloped bolt(with firing pin and extractor) assembly, and charging handle/Guide Rod assembly. BX trigger group, and a Monstrom 3x Prism.

Re: She's done (for now)
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.
