Two of my favourites. A 5lb Bluegrass on a 32” handle and a 3.5lb Collins on a 28” handle.

Re: Axe projects
Most of these Axe heads have been in storage totes for years... i’m finally living in a place where i can have somewhat of a shop again... Divorce sucks, lol
Anyway, it feels great to go through my stuff and dig
these out and finally start doing something with them.
Some of the old / new again collection -

Re: Axe projects
Kool collection. I have a bunch (10-15) that need restore and/or need handles. I've made a few handles but buying is MUCH easier.

Re: Axe projects
Here’s the monster I’m working on. First round of de-rust complete. It took me an hour to wrestle out and save the handle for treatment. A 6lb head 9” long 5” bit. Only marked with a 6 which agrees with my sketchy skale. Hung on a wall in a tobacco barn in Mt. Eden, Ky. for the last 35 years or so

Re: Axe projects
Working on handles today.
Been too busy at work and it’s been too damn hot.
I came out anyway and knocked out this cruiser handle for my kelly woodslasher.
I have to keep my pistol in a freezer bag it gets so damn dirty. Out here... sawdust everywhere
Hot, tired, filthy.

You need to use a draw knife and/or spoke shave, no sanding dust!
