Eagle Scout gift idea
So the middle boy earned his Eagle Scout. We are very proud of him. The project was a success and now for the party. The wife and I have already got him some of the typical gifts for it. However I want to get him something that will be useful to him hopefully for life and remind him of what he has accomplished when things get hard. Now I know some will say get a good knife with the emblem and his name cut into it or a firearm, those are good ideas. This gift will not be ready for the party and I didn't intend for it to be. I don't care for any fanfare of spectators onlooking when I give it to him. I want to be just him and I, on one of oh so few times I'm getting to spend time with the asshole. Eighteen and already knows it all.

Good One! especially to a UL fan
Seriously this is a tough challenge. Every time we as parents have tried to get our kids something meaningful, it has ended up in a drawer. Sorry don't have a good idea what to say except
Hookers and Blow. LOL

That's what he would want. He still talks about yours. I wish he was coming Sunday, but he would rather go spend time with some girl than with a bunch of guys. So when has getting laid ever trumped guy time. Wait, I need to think of this as a single man, not as a married one...Niceguy wrote:SCAR16...
I want to get him something that he will use. When he went to Philmont, I got him a good multitool that he used to this day so that's out.

I remember my first hooker. I'm so glad all I had to do was take a series of pills and I was good to go. Penicillin is amazing stuff.Dave1965 wrote:ba dum bumToddstang wrote:Contact Katina Powell.

He has one of my lensatic compasses I used from active duty. I had the top lasered with his initials. I gave that to him when he earned his oak leaf, I think that's what it is. An award for the Venture Crew.Eireguy wrote:Would he have the need for a really good , quality compass ? Just a thought .
