Finally under 300 #
For the 1st time in 30 years I weigh less than 300 pounds. My highest weight was 387. I got down to 306 a couple of times but went back up. I have lost 28 pounds in past 5 months taking an appetite suppressor under doctor's care. I never want to weigh over 300# again. My goal is 240-250, which will take another year or so.

Outstanding job, Larry! I'm down to 285 from 425 and haven't felt this good (for me "good" is relative, but, you know) in years!

Best damn thing you've ever posted. That's not to say anything you've said wasn't great, but to say how awesome this is. Congratulations!

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Thanks everyone. It is a journey for life. I need to be around for my grandkids, 3 of whom haven't seen their Dad in almost a year (on the run from several felony warrants).

I'm really happy for you, Larry, it's an awesome achievement.
I apologise for my earlier comment, I was in no way trying to steal your thunder!

No apology needed Chuck. You have lost 1/3 of your body weight. That is an awesome achievement.Wyldman wrote:I'm really happy for you, Larry, it's an awesome achievement.

Great way to look at it.kyswede wrote:Thanks everyone. It is a journey for life. I need to be around for my grandkids, 3 of whom haven't seen their Dad in almost a year (on the run from several felony warrants).
I shake my head at the guys who carry a gun everywhere they go to defend themselves against an attack that almost certainly won't happen, yet they completely ignore the 50, 100, or 200 extra pounds that are trying to kill them every day.
Not busting on those who are a bit on the "fluffy" side; it's their life and entirely their business. I just don't grasp the logic.
Good luck!
