Re: Crappiest handgun you have shot?
I don't know abut crappy, but the S&W .500 Magnum was the least fun to shoot handgun I have ever tried. Felt like someone hit the palm of my hand with a bat.

Didn't like the one I tried. Granted, it was a couple years ago, and I only ran two mags through it. Just felt uncomfortable. Maybe not a basis for an objective opinion, but its the only one I've got. I'd rather use a chair leg for defense than one of these pistols.

NAA Guardian in 380.
Wanted so much to love the gun, loved the way it looked and felt, but straight blow back in a small 380 is a bad mix, darn thing hurt to shoot. So much so I sold it after the first range trip, only time I have even done that.

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Re: Crappiest handgun you have shot?
In all fairness though, it shot better than a couple old war time revolvers I've used. I had an Enfield .38 S&W tanker (DA only) that was a real pos, cylinder would rotate randomly as trigger was pressed and it "patterned" rather than "grouped". Same could be said about a 4" Webley .455 my dad carries in the bush. He carries it for bear protection haha, I'd choose the chair leg again over this revolver.

The one I had I liked and considering the fact the one I had was the same gun as the one you had just proves to each their own.Dustin wrote:Pt111

I do not understand the need for the grip safety. It's like it wants to be a 1911, but still be a Glock, but not really be a Glock. I'm not a fan of the XD.
My worst handgun I have ever shot was a Ruger P series. Felt like a massive hunk of steel with bad grips, sharp angles, and shotgun accuracy. I compare it to getting it on with a heavy, sweaty woman. Not something you ever want to repeat, but will do in desperate times of need.

A Taurus .22 revolver. Worst. Trigger. Ever. The pull was so heavy and rough that it was literally impossible to keep the sights on target.
I'm not a Taurus hater. My experience with them is limited, so for all I know they might make some great guns, but this wasn't one of them.

It was the one you sold me. I just hated the trigger.WLJ wrote:The one I had I liked and considering the fact the one I had was the same gun as the one you had just proves to each their own.Dustin wrote:Pt111

Jimenez arms 9mm. Was a buddy of mines first gun purchase. Biggest pos ever. Jammed more than it shot and grouping was a long lost fairy tale.

Re: Crappiest handgun you have shot?
I know, only reason I sold it was because it lost out to the 24/7 compact. Didn't need two guns so close to one another.Dustin wrote:It was the one you sold me. Most glocks. They go bang. They're reliable. But the trigger is trash and feels crappy in the hand. Ymmv

Walther P22 combo kit. 3 and 5 inch barrels. Couldn't keep the barrel nut tight. Failed to fire and eject without warning. This lead to one of my best trades at a gunshow. A guy had a shooter grade Winchester 94/22 he offered to trade even. Now it is done of my favorites.

Re: Crappiest handgun you have shot?
Has to be a Taurus pt 1911 or a glock 17, sold both. YES, I bought a glock that wouldn't feed and occasionally fall apart.
Oh, how so high they fly........ only further to fall.

The one Glock I've owned was the only gun I've owned that would FTE pretty consistently with WWB ammo.Coach wrote:nemo wrote:Has to be a Taurus pt 1911 or a glock 17, sold both. YES, I bought a glock that wouldn't feed and occasionally fall apart.
I love it that people qualify any statement that detracts from a glocks mystique. Theyre great guns, but they arent magically 100% reliable.
