Tactical Rifle Level 2 – September 14th

LOCATION: Lincoln Trail Gun Club, New Haven KY
TIME: 1000hr - UTC
AMMO REQUIREMENT – 500 ROUNDS RIFLE/ 200 ROUNDS PISTOL
Course Outline -
Our Level 2 – Basic course focuses on reinforcing previously learned techniques and concepts, and laying down the foundations for advanced concepts. Many of the drills will be the same as the Level 1 – Introductory course, but at an elevated pace.
Courses of Fire:
Level 1 Course Review
Modified Firing Positions
Use of Cover and Concealment
Buddy Team Movement
Stress Shoot
Buddy Team Stress Shoot
Casualty Drills
Low Light Shooting
At the end of the course students should feel increasingly familiarized with their weapon, and comfortable with all reinforced topics and drills. Students will have a grasp on tactical thinking, and a strong knowledge of what is required for them to improve.
Required Equipment:
Functioning Carbine (AK or AR Type)
Tactical-Style Sling (Single-Point, Two-Point, Three-Point)
Three (3) Magazines (Seven (7) Required for 2-Day Courses)
Magazine Carrier (Battle/Duty Belt, Chest Harness, Plate Carrier, etc.)
Vision and Hearing Protection
Appropriate Amount of Ammo (Amounts in Course Descriptions)
Weather and Activity Appropriate Attire (Dress in Layers)
An Open Mind and Willingness to Learn
Recommended Equipment:
Electronic Hearing Protection (Facilitates Better Hearing of Range Commands)
Elbow and Knee Pads (Drills May Be Conducted On Gravel or Concrete)
Gloves (Extended Firing May Mean a Hot Barrel, Rail, or Hand Guard)
Spare Parts (In the Event of a Parts Breakage, Quick Repair is Key)

For those of you planning on attending this course: The Iron Horse Festival is going on in New Haven this weekend. Main street and Center street both will have portions of the road closed. You will need to take a side street up past 2nd street in order to get onto Center Street headed to the range. I would suggest turning left at the Catholic church and going up to 3rd or 4th street and turning right to get to center street. Bring along your lunch and or snacks, the stores will be crowded and over charging if it like normal.

I won't be able to make it guys, didn't pay much attention to the calendar. Daughters surgery is this weekend in cincy.

Alright folks we are two days away, time to get gear squared away and range bags packed. Come Saturday morning it's time to train!
