Going to hold on to it and put it back original after I build another one top to bottom. The gun was my dad's and he died when I was 12. I like keeping it around for all the memories. I'm typically not sentimental at all but I am with guns handed down from my dad and grandparents.JustShootIt wrote:What's your plans for the old wood stock?

The Butler Creek stuff was money VERY well spent! This was 25 rounds at 40 yards standing free hand and no sling. Put 25 rounds sighting and screwing around and this was the next 25. Shot 100 rounds total of Blazer bulk .22lr and not a single issue out of a brand new very economical barrel. I would say it's a win!

Archangel 556 stock in Desert Tan. I always though these were crappy until I saw one in person, then I had to have one! I have the Ruger 16" factory threaded barrel in there now, I might put my bull barrel in, but I'm really liking how light weight it is.

Trying to redo the finish on the stock, but Citristrip ain't doing it.
Gotta put some rounds through it to see if it still has a FTE problem.

Nice rifle. I bought mine use and have put 5000+ rounds through it and it still performs excellent. Marlin 60s are tanks.

Not made by Walther, either. Another fine Umarex cast zinc product. Sorry.
My model 60, since they are so prevalent of late (along with my cluttered desk, which has been sorted out since this pic was taken):

Re: The Rimfire Rifle Pic Thread
10/22 "Grease Gun", had it out this weekend for some squirrel eradication at my dad's place. Subsonics cycle perfectly in this thing, its a great little rifle for around the yard. Sights need some work, but this little guy got dead at about 40 yds. "Suppressor" is ridiculously big, but it is fake . And cost about 3 bucks.

Re: The Rimfire Rifle Pic Thread
Yes I built it. If this was commercially available, there would be lawsuits! Rough and crude, its not finished yet. Lots of sharp edges so you almost need a set of gloves to use it.Coach wrote:Eireguy wrote:I've never seen that grease gun kit.looks pretty cool
IIRC he hand built it. No kit.
Its actually made from the body of a cheapo grease gun with a 10/22 receiver stuffed inside and a Charger barrel bolted on. The remainder of it is material I picked up at lumber yards and held together with shitty welds and pop rivets.
I'd like to revisit this build with some better engineering, I need to find someone locally who would be willing to mill me a whole receiver out of aluminum in the profile of the body. Drop in the bolt/trigger assembly/barrel. Maybe two halves that could sandwich the internals.
