Expensive charging handles? Thoughts?
The BCM gunfighters runs around 50. The badger tac latch 30, core 15 billet 30, PRI buster 70, whats everyones thoughts? Are they worth it? I have a BCm and its wicked cool but is the money better spent on ammo?

Re: Expensive charging handles? Thoughts?
If your gun is a bench shooter, I would say probably not worth the $$$ for that upgrade.
If your gun is an in-the-dirt-fire-breathing-monster you train with to defend your life, I would upgrade. You are going to spend more time on that charging handle and be a lot harder on it than if it is a bench shooter.
I have 2 rifles running the BCM's right now.

I'm no operater extraordinaire, nor an expert on modern military arms, but I use the BCM Gunfighter on both of my AR15's & both of my AR10's. I find them much easier to manipulate and much more robust and reliable than the standard charging handles.

I have the badger latch also and it is better than oem but it is so big that when the gun is slung it digs in a bit much. I think BCM (middle size I think version 2) is better for me.JustShootIt wrote:I think this is one of the upgrades worth the money....

Expensive charging handles? Thoughts?
I think they are worth it for sure only if your mounted optic has made it harder to get at the charging handle. I worry that they will bull the bolt out of battery when the gun is hanging by the sling and the latch catches on something on your vest. In my limited amount of time spent playing with one, it wasn't the case tho. Probably a good upgrade in general since the charging handle is something that gets manipulated very often and you will notice the upgrade every time you load up.

Expensive charging handles? Thoughts?
I figured since it has a lot of stress on it, probably good to have a solid part.

Expensive charging handles? Thoughts?
I love my BCM Gunfighter but would have bought a mod4 instead of a mod3. Oh and also got a BAD lever, a must addition.
Oh, how so high they fly........ only further to fall.

Re: Expensive charging handles? Thoughts?
In my personal opinion, no AR is complete without a BCM Gunfigher Mod4 charging handle. It is the most cost effective upgrade I can imagine.

If I ever have to use a can, I'll use a sealed Gunfighter Mod.4.
