Re: The Black Rifle Pic Thread
just finished a retro tribute shorty.
80's Olympic A2 11.5" upper that someone had sold off the 'pre-ban' lower for a hefty profit. It's a blackened stainless 1 in 7 barrel. It was banged up pretty good- I stripped the receiver itself down, sanded out most the dings and sprayed it with flat black Moly Resin. I found a stripped Olympic lower- Molly'd it to match, put in a CMMG lpk, OD green furniture, added a retro Colt clone 3x9 scope and a vietnam surplus OD sling.
still need to shoot it...and I'm going to swap out the fatty M4 handguards for skinny ones.

Re: The Black Rifle Pic Thread
Coach,
The SPR is a bleeding tack driver with 77gr SMK's over IMR 8208 XBR and the Lightweight Wilson upper AR is a real shooter as well. The Bushy is all business and a "no frills" issued rig. It's uber reliable and no problems ringing steel at 200 yards with the irons. Granted, it's a factory rifle, unmodified with the exceptions of the add-ons but I will gladly say I stake my life on it daily. No qualms with the Bushy whatsoever. I attended a Patrol Rifle Instructor course with her and had no problems or complaints with her, several hundred rounds down-range that week without a single malfunction.
