Tula 9mm Ammo Review

Post by Toddstang » Sun Jun 15, 2014 11:11 am

IT SUCKS!!!

Cycled in my Glocks just fine, but in my Smiths and Beretta it was a total jam fest!
Dirty as hell and would cycle only every 4 rounds or so in the Beretta, the Smith 5903 turned into a semi-auto with this stuff. The M&P was hit and miss, more miss than hit.
Metal cased junk!

Beretta 92?
If it won't cycle in a 92 it is crap.

And what was your 5903 before it was turned into a semi-auto?
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

After using some Tula steel cased .223 I had no desire to try any of their other caliber offerings in steel case. Really dirty and I shoot Wolf .223!!

However I did try some of the TulaMaxx brass cased 9mm. it shot fine with no issues. I would buy it again if I could find it.

I have never had an issue wih Tula. Yea it's dirty but it's cheap. I have shot over a 1000 rnds of 9, 300ish rdns of .45 and 500 or so rounds of .223 and only a few FTFs on the 9mm. Other than it being dirty no real issues to speak of.

I have at least one empty casing jam tight into the barrel mouth of my ACR and AR out of 100 rounds. Sometimes I'll get three in a row out of one magazine. I shoot it but I clean my guns religiously and carry a cleaning rod to poke out the casings from my barrel.

As for 9mm... I had several failure to fires with brown bear I recently bought. But if I drop the round back into the chamber, it always fires on the second strike. I have a lot of 9mm Wolf and Brown Bear because it was 22 cents a round a few months back.

I've shot a good bit of this in 9mm in both my shield and p30. Both ran like champs with it.

My Shield ran 3 to 4 rounds at best.

Even the Green Box Remington ran 100% VS Tula.

My Shield doesn't have a problem with the BrassMaxx, haven't tried any black box Tula .40. The 9mm black box stuff is terrible though.

All of my junk will run with tula steel case ar, Taurus 99afs, and lc9. But now that I reload I don't use it much unless I know I am going to lose the brass and can find it cheap
