CCI Blazer 40gr .22LR 525 pks

Have been discontinued by Sportsman's Guide according to an email I just received a few minutes ago. I find it very curious that they would discontinue one of the most popular, and usually most reasonably priced, CCI products in the inventory. I cannot help but feel that bodes nothing but ill for us and the .22LR mkt in general.

I got the same email, but I was assuming that it was the 525 ct boxing that was being discontinued.

It is also the 325ct boxing. Almost everything CCI Blazer that I had on backorder from midway has been cancelled as discontinued....

Could it be that CCI stopped making them because they can't keep up with demand and gonna put all resources towards CCI Mini Mags to maximize revenue? If you are selling more than you can make why not focus on your premium priced product.

I got it too. I REALLY hope they are not dropping Blazer's. I think it's one of the best .22lr for the money. Maybe just going with the even 500rd packs. Who knows...

They interviewed the main guy from CCI on the Outdoor Channel and were talking about the 22LR shortage and he replied that no matter how much they make, it will never be enough to catch up. He said not only is it the hoarders, but in the past 5 years the 22LR has gained so much popularity with all the 22LR platforms being sold, that demand will be very hard to catch up to with ammo.

I got my FS2000 much cheaper than normal because of a sku change, they were clearing out the old sku numbered models for the new ones. As far as I could tell zero difference between the old and new sku's other than the number. Companies are funny that way sometimes.

My thoughts as well. He did say that they are running 24/7 since shortages hit a few years ago.

Same thing happen with 380 not too long ago, everybody started making new model pocket 380s and demand for ammo went through the roof.
