Geissele Reaction Rod

This looks to be a pretty cool product, but I wonder what an actual gunsmith has to say about it.

Do you think that you would benefit from this?

This caught my eye
when my torque wrench clicked to indicate that the barrel nut had reached the required 80ft/lb. of torque.
80lb? That seems quite a bit high for an AR-15. More like what you torque an AR-10 barrel nut to.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

It's within range, but JUST barely:

Barrel Nut - 30 Ft. lbs. Minimum, not to exceed 80 Ft. Lbs. to align the next slot in the barrel nut

No
It is just a way to hold a upper
To me the upper clamp block work just fine
A good solid heavey vise will hold a upper with zero damage.

The clamp block comes with a insert to support the inside the upper.

And now I have made my own blocks out of oak and bedding compound.

If you want to spend 200 bucks on a GRR go right ahead.

My 10.00 wood/scrap aluminum/ epoxcy works just as well.

This is done more than you think to get that notch to line up.
