Brand new g19 has a crunch well ahead of the trigger break. I found these burrs. Any ideas?Image

It's brand new? I don't care what the cause is, my brand new G19 would go back to Glock.

I hate to be "that guy", but this looks like damage from improper takedown. Looks like someone manually pulled the striker back with the slide off the frame and let the striker repeatedly hit the pin with full force.

Return for repair or replace part

You can smooth out burrs but that is not the crutch you seek

Buy another and put in. Probably cheaper than shipping gun back in and the annoyance of down time.

Buy an Apex Tactical plunger. Nice improvement

A new plunger is great assuming something in the gun didn't do that to the factory one

The only way I could see that happening is if the striker isn't catching on the trigger release bar. But if this was the case, the owner should know it as the gun wouldn't fire after a round was chambered.

Yeah I of course was assuming that he had it down that far that he would have seen the other damage if in fact damage was incurred.

Imo it takes a few hundred rounds to break in a glock trigger. I dont subscribe to the whole modified triggers on carry guns, the factory glock trigger is great.

I found it. A little burr in the frame was catching on the trigger safety. I smoothed that out and the click is gone.

The pistol ran fine. But it was a noticeable out of place crunch. I would have taken it back but I couldn't stand to be without her.
