Thor Defense TR-15 and Gemtech Quicksand Suppressor
I had the opportunity this afternoon to test fire the new Gemtech Quicksand 7.62mm quck detach suppressor on my Thor Defense TR-15. This can is very quiet and knocks the sound way down on the 5.56mm round. I put this on the 16" AR because of their loud nature. Ear protection was not required, as it was less not then someone slamming a car door. We will be putting this on our Tikka Tactical T3 very soon and shooting more footage to show the unbelievable hush power than Gemtech has with this can. I am very impressed with this can as it captures the sound identical to the smaller Gemtech G5, which is a quick disconnect 5.56 can. At any rate, this was a great combination with pretty exciting few seconds of footage. The only thing about cans that keep the sound in really well is that they also keep heat in really well. We put 50-60 rounds through this gun pretty quick and the can was hot to the touch for nearly 30 minutes. Full auto or semi, expect these cans to retain heat for a long time.

That shouldn't be a problem. I also have a hard to get Ceiner .22 kit coming with the auto trip to shoot full auto .22. I'm hoping to have everything test fired and up to par before the shoot. It's going to be a good time for sure. I hope that anyone on the fence about getting a new can climbs on over to Lincoln Arms and makes it a reality.
