When I head off to the range, I leave the house with the mindset of, Don't just go to the range "to shoot" or "to practice." Know what you're going to do, how you're going to train. You don't need a strict step by step program, but things like "work on weak hand only shooting" or "fix that problem I had with my reloads" would be appropriate to have on your list. Also with the prices of ammo for the past year and my E-3 pay check, I cant afford to go off and blast away 200 rounds for the fun of it. Every round counts, but also don't forget the training value of dry firing doesn't cost you anything, and 20 minutes a day can go a far way when it come to time at the range.
I cant take credit for any of theses drill but they are some drills I like to use when I go out to the range.

Re: SHOOTING DRILLS
I like all the drills in the "green eyes black rifles" book. It's totally worth the $20ish dollars and it holds up to trips to the range with sturdy pages.
