Heads up
The range at New Haven is reserved for KAC on Sat Oct 17th 2015 for a day of shooting and food.

*** For new members this is great way to meet your fellow forum members.

*** Post if you plan on coming and how many others you may/will bring and if you plan on bringing food and/or drinks so that we have an idea of how many and what food to expect.
There is a fully equipped kitchen for reheating/keeping warm/cooking food in the clubhouse.

*** Start Time: Sat Oct 17th 11:00 to whatever

**** Shoot fee is $10 per person due at sign in upon arriving to cover the $150 range reserve fee.
Any excess collected at the end of the day above the $150 fee will be kept in a KAC shoot piggy bank and supplies bought with it for the next shoot such as fun targets, drinks, plates, cups, etc... At the end of each shoot I will post how much excess we have and ask for ideas for purchases based on the amount. Raffles are not out of the question.
Note: If we fall under 15 attendees (unlikely I hope) I would have to on the spot up the fee to whatever amount would be needed to cover the reserve fee, otherwise I'm personally out whatever amount we would be short. Of course feel free in such an event to contribute more if you wish, many have already volunteered to do so if needed.

*** If shooting it may be useful to bring a tarp to catch your empties, you are required to police your brass at the range.

*** As far as targets you mostly bring your own although we do have some reactive targets for general use. Also you may want to bring your own target stands, occasionally there are stands left at the range but you can't count on it.
*** Sorry no tannerite/exploding and glass targets allowed at the range. ***

* Also depending on what you're bringing it may be useful to bring a table, there are racks but they can fill up fast. I myself bring a folding 5ft table which can be bought at most dept stores and will fit into just about any size car.

*** Sell table
Members often bring items for sale and place them on a table in the clubhouse.

**** All range and safety rules apply, no exceptions *****
**** Be aware there is no official Range Officer (RO) at the range but that does not mean the above will not be enforced. If you spot an unsafe practice shout out.
**** Cold/Hot range will be observed as needed. ****
**** No alcohol please. (Despite the fact there's a coke machine in the clubhouse filled with beer ) ****

Usually 15-30 people show up, depending on weather, etc.... At that level we usually don't need an RO. If more show up it may be good idea if one or more people volunteer to help keep an eye on things, be a RO lite so to speak.

I wouldn't swear to it, but I think he was still a little short from buying the .22 steel target. Or he pocketed our shit and he's hauling ass south with our lute yo... haha

I'm a tentative for now. If whoever is collecting money has a PayPal, I'd like to put my $10 into the KAC fund early.

Would the 24th work better for some people or should we stick with the 17th? I picked the 17th because I noticed you had a RWI course on the 25th and thought I should keep a little space between them so that you wouldn't have to make the trip two days in a roll.
