http://americanhandgunner.com/when-citizens-fight-back/The success/failure tally among the incidents involving my students is 62 wins, zero losses and two forfeits. Every one of our students who were armed won their confrontation. Only three of those were injured, and those three recovered. To the best of my knowledge, two people have gone through training with us and subsequently were murdered in separate street robberies — but neither was armed. This is why we put a great deal of emphasis in our training on the necessity of routinely carrying your gun.

Cool that he gathered those stats from his students. Wonder how many students he has had total.

I knew that was Tom Givens as soon as I started reading. He's is a legend and innovator in the training world. Other instructors have made similar reports. James Yeager of Tactical Response says of his 30-something students who he knows have been involved in a gun fight, only one was not able to defend his life. He was unarmed at the time.
