Power seed or sod?

Im wokring on my back yard tomorrow and once its all graded. I am either going to power seed or lay sod. What do you all think? Is it too late to plant? Will sod even take? Is it worth it?

I wouldnt sod. Your going to get a hard freeze and it will kill it with out getting the root system in place. Id over seed it and straw it real well. U might not see results until spring depending ont he winter. Add some fertilizer and lime as well.

Power seeding it is then! Sod would have been like 500 bucks more anyway

Yep, power seed this late in the year. I sodded the front, seeded the back and they both look good. Front yard is a little nicer, but back was WAY less expensive.

Power seeding is allot diffrent than over seeding. Id "power seed " in the early spring. Late feb early march. Id over seed the back. Text me and i can give u some hints. Pm sent

If your regrading it I would not even power seed it, just rake the seed in dont use any straw. Sod right now would be beyond a waste , power seeding is only needed if trying to seed over a lawn already in place.
