Second gun purchase in a month and I've been put on delay last time and now AGAIN!! My CCDW is pretty much on its way from the state police to the sheriffs for me to pick up but I can't buy a damn gun instantly despite a clean background. What the hell!?

That happened to me one time. I actually was denied and I politely asked the guy to call back and I was approved the second time around. Couldn't tell me why they denied t the time. Weird. Now I have CCDW so no problem.

I'll have my CCDW any day now... State police cashed my check two weeks ago.

Buds asks everytime I buy if I have one so I may bypass the check.

There is always that one arsehole.

I've never been instantly proceeded on a gun purchase. I have always gotten delayed. Until I got my ccdw. No now worries

A buddy of mine used to be delayed every time. They told him after a while there was a guy with his same name.......

Because some will do a NICS check anyway.That way there is no libility on the purchaser no being legal.
When you sign the 4473 you certify that you are you and not a felon etc.

The FFL checks your ID and establishes that the sale is sound and legal.

A FFL can refuse to transfer a gun to you.
Even if you paid a seller out of state.
Say you came to me office and smelled of weed or alcohol , no transfer that day to you.
Cop a attitude and FU it gets sent back.

Walmart doesn't accept cdwl. I have a upin. It helps you from getting delayed.

I bought my oldest grandson a 22 rifle for Christmas 2 years ago at Walmart. Handed them my drivers license and CCDW, no background check.

Walmart in Bardstown accepts CCDW.

The best reason I heard was from a dealer who *almost* sold a handgun to a guy who wasn't a KY resident.

The guy had moved out of state several months previously but decided to hang on to his KY CCDW.

My wife purchased her first gun a few weeks ago (Rural King). Her background was called in and for whatever reason, the phone call ended and the seller said he would have to call back in a few minutes. My wife was flabbergasted but I told her it's probably nothing. It was nothing. The next phone call happened and she was on her way with her first pistol.

A few weeks later (last weekend), at Dick's Sporting Goods she bought her first shotgun. Called her in and we were walking out the door with a new firearm in 10 minutes.

So far my purchases at Gilberts Gun Shop, Kentucky Gun Company, Rural King and 5 Point Firearms they have used my CCDW and I was on my way in minutes.

Monday is the end to my 3 day waiting so I'll be getting my second glock on Tuesday. Still angry nobody called back with a proceed yet. They are as useless as immigration.
