Harlan County jailer shoots self in leg

The Harlan County jailer accidentally shot himself in the leg Saturday morning.

Curtis Stallard was practicing shooting with another jailer at the shooting range behind the facility when it happened, according to Lt. Daniel Howard.

Stallard was attempting to re-holster his gun when it went off, lodging a bullet in his leg.

Stallard was flown to the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, but Lt. Howard said he was in good spirits and was not seriously injured.

I have flown many patients out of Harlan County. Holston Valley is the closest Trauma Center to there.

of course, we actually had one of the badass ninja SWAT guys do exactly the same thing when the Glocks were new to us.

Bloody Harlan! at least that is what the county used to be called back in the early 30's when there were bloody clashes between the miners and the coal companies.
