What are you shooting at?

Targets, that is.

For pistol, I have a couple of homemade stands using the design on Box O' Truth. Mine are a little wider. I make silhouette targets by using a cardboard template I traced off a 25yd qualification target. I clamp it to a large piece of paper cut from a big roll and spray paint it. Then I tape it to the cardboard backing on the target stand and stick either a Midway pistol target or just an adhesive dot at mid chest to give me something to center on.

Also, I have three bowling pins I like to set up and practice drawing from concealment and point shooting on. I always look for more pins when I'm wandering through junk stores.

There's a guy who sells steel targets on eBay. Here's the set I might get someday. They seem to be better priced than anything I've seen so far.

For rifle, I have an old Coldwell Banker realty sign from when we bought our house... the realtor never picked it up. Works well for a printed paper target. That, and some old campaign signs.

What do y'all shoot at?

This guy makes excellent targets; in addition to eBay, he maintains a full web site:

http://www.qualitytargets.com/servlet/StoreFront

I decided to spend the extra bucks for AR500 steel, and I have these hanging on shepherd hooks in my back yard:

They've taken goodness know how many hits without suffering the slightest divot. I expect my grandkids to inherit them.

I shoot every damn thing.

Firewood rounds with a eye bolt in one end hung from what ever spray painted. You can shoot the hell out of them , the longer the hanging rope , the more they move. You can shoot they a whole lot closer then steel and get basicly the same result, some movement and an audible report. Large ones work like a heavy bag that you can shoot over and over, great for "Get the fuck off me" drills.

I use signs, cardboard targets, paper targets, old junk, garbage, pretty much if its there and I can shoot it, its game.

I use those glow targets Walmart sells. Makes it easy to see where I'm hitting at 100 yards.

Most anything... Cans, bottles, jugs of water, hedge apples, and I have some 9x9" steel plates also. I shoot a lot of hedge apples because I have a shitload of them and they are free...

I like the campaign signs and realtor signs. You can tape whatever to them.
