anyone on here besides myself that works themselves to death for a few fresh veggies? 6 hrs today just getting things ready to plant! whew!!!

I have a small plot. The size of an apartment patio that I plant each year. Some tomatoes, green peppers, Italian eggplant and some herbs in pots ( I'm crazy for Garlic Chives ). Will start it next weekend.

I put out a 70'x40' for my main garden. I put out 1.5 acres or sweet corn too.
I do cheat a little though.

I'm jealous. Wish I had a house so I could do that. I live in a Condo and right off the end of my patio is a small flower garden. Isn't mine, it's the association but it was there for the little old lady I bought the place from. I planted it and the HOA has been cool. It's tiny but it beats nothing.

6' wide it makes short work of tilling. We got 140' feet of potatoes planted last weekend. Along with peas, lima beans, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage. I am trying to hold off intil Mothers day to do the green beans, cucumbers and corn. But this nice weather has me itching to get it in the ground.

I have a small garden.
A raised bed & a few terraced strips of all your most common veggies.
Living on a mountainside has posed some unique difficulties, but I am trying to work through them.

This is my second year at it, so I am learning.
Also, I am going to attempt keeping bees this year.

I tried a couple tomato plants upside down in buckets last year for the heck of it. They worked well and a person could grow them on a patio easily.
I have a couple buds that keep bees. They keep me stocked up in honey.

a few bee hives placed around the property work well at scaring off the local thieves, seems they are scared to get stung! lol

Dont use sevin dust if someone close has bees

I have a small 8'x6' garden and I do peppers in pots. Right now I already have tomato plants that have yellow flowers on them. I start all mine from seeds indoors under lights. They got big fast this year so I took the chance of getting them in the ground. So far so good.

Right now I am doing regular tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, Cherokee Purple tomatoes, cucumber, cantaloupe, bell peppers, cayenne peppers, and a few sweet peppers.

Yeah, I do all mine from seed. I am trying to collect from heirlooms so I only have to buy once.

I plant my garden a cross the county a little and there, but close to water.

In between the expressway works well I hear.

Just got our backyard plot tilled up today. Got tomato, pepper, zucchini, and carrot seeds to plant this year, as well as the horseradish that is still there from last year.

Planning on putting in a small garden this year, but plants don't have good odds in my yard with the two dogs. Need to fence off anything I do just to keep them out. I planted a cherry tree a couple years ago and they literally ate the whole thing.

I usually start from seed bit ordered plants this year. Just didn't want to fool with it with the kiddo. I also had cherry trees that fungus got one and Carl ate the other. Sigh.

Well a couple of my larger plants took a hit over the last few nights. I covered them last night with a large drop cloth but the night prior they took a beating. I hope they can bounce back as soon as it warms up.

Haha my plants won't be here till May. Not supposed to plant till after Derby mike.
