A warning to be careful

Post by WLJ » Sat Jan 11, 2014 11:52 am

Okay to link to another forum since that's where the story is?

Armslist Sale Gone Bad

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

I was wondering how long it would take for something like this to happen. Surprised its not more often.

Something very similar happened in Shepherdsville to people using the virtual yard sale pages on Facebook.

Thanks, some forums seem to get their panties all twisted up in a knot if someone posts links to other forums. I can't keep straight which ones do and which ones don't.

It mentioned Craigslist deals. I didn't think you could post guns on Craigslist?

Not sure just having a gun on you would have made a lick of difference in this situation, first indication he was aware something was up was when he already had a gun in his face. Not much you can do at that point Hollywood not withstanding. Only thing that would have made a difference in this would have been more situational awareness of the scene before the trouble started. But even then we can't be 100% sure that even that would have helped.

This. I've brought a police buddy on a few transactions myself. It's been a while though. He works some really wonky hours.

I once showed up to a deal in the passenger side of a cruiser. Guy seemed nervous. Lol

I'd probably be nervous too if the other guy didn't tell me ahead of time he was going to be with a cop. Seems sketchy.

What's sketchy about being with a cop? Cops are normal people too. They just have a badge, oh and free gas for the cruiser. I never understood why people get nervous around police unless they've got something to hide.
