Re: What did you pick up today?
I'm starting to narrow down my likes and dislikes so hopefully my gun add will kinda slow down. I have 2 pretty sweet shotty's, a baller ass AR, baller M&P CORE, baller 1911, an AK that just to damn nice to even call a AK, some badass .22 rifles and pistols. Now I need a badass bolt gun (soon to be in the works I hope) and decent 24-28" barrel semi-auto 12ga. MAYBE another M1A...hahadbh wrote:Wonder which one will be for sale next week?

Re: What did you pick up today?
Had a rock chip back in 2010. Insurance repaired it with filling it but not replacing. Would not pass inspection so had to opt for a new windshield this year as the chip was not too bad but was in line with the drivers view enough they wouldn't pass it.

.17 from Geno and a scope from rural king
A cop stopped me on the street and said "we're looking for a mugger who fits your description" , so I said "okay I'll do it".

What did you pick up today?
how could your insurance repair something not to inspection code? Did you pay out of pocket or does insurance have to cover? I would think that if it isn't to code then they might as well just put silicon in the chip if they do what they want lol.shelbygoat wrote:Had a rock chip back in 2010. Re: What did you pick up today?
I've been in the auto glass business for over 25 yeats. Rock chip repairs can be a viable way to prevent an eventual replacement and I do them but results are not consistent regardless of equipment or skill. In my opinion it's oversold as being more than it is. The truth is some come out better than others and some that repair well are still very visible depending on the angle of the fractures in the glass. Most insurance companies won't pay for them in the drivers line of view, an arbitrary distinction. Most also insist that anything that will fit under a dollar bill can and should be repaired. That's ludicrous. If it won't fit under a quarter, forget it.

now trying to get it to pass inspection in PA, it is a no-go
we filed a claim through insurance but they would not pay for it to be replaced and would have been more money than just paying the glass repair place directly, so the latter is the route we took
