They may hold their resale values....but you still gotta deal with a pain in the butt maintenance list sooner and more often I would think.

We have a 94 Cherokee. It has 295k miles. Knocks when it runs from piston slap. We've done nothing but regular maintenance on it. Owned it for 7 years. 7 hard hard years on it. It still keeps going.

Wait, we put a clutch in it.

94 is not fiat jeep and very very very different.
