Is your SUV making you sick?

Post by WLJ » Sun Jan 03, 2016 10:17 am

Some fullsize SUV owners are getting sick, thanks to a buffeting and vibration problem in 2015 model year examples of the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, and GMC Yukon. According to owners' complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue can vary from an annoying vibration inside the cabin to an experience so severe that it leads to dizziness and headaches.

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

It's likely just sticker shock for how expensive they are.

No possible way as I wouldn't own anything made by GM.

Though if pressed, I would have a GM vehicle long before buying anything made by Chrysler, including a Jeep. They make the most overpriced POS vehicles in the USA.

Of course, my opinions are my own, born of years of experience getting burned.

I will only add that I agree on Chrysler dodge jeep with the only exception of the 4.0 Cherokee as being a reliable easy to fix off road winner. I'd give $500 for one anyday.

Vehicle make now a days is pointless cause there all made by all the same people for the most part. I work for a company that makes the same parts from basically the same materials for several major companies such as Toyota, Nissan, Lexus, tesla, gm, and suburu. The only diffences in them is basically the die that shapes the part and sometimes most all the parts are the same between certain vehicles such as a Toyota an Lexus. We order our parts from the same company's all the other company's order from as well. And yes Toyota is pretty much an American company nowadays and mostly made in ky. It used to be only the cars made in ky & canada but the new Tacoma has caused a lot of troubles for the vendors and we have picked up the slack so now they're pretty much made here or somebody from here went to Texas and helped build it there.

Heard stories from dealership mechanics of cars manufactured on new years eve, being brought back to dealer for rattles. Supposedy dealership mechanics found booze bottles in the frames and had to break with a punch and vacuum out. Lol

Pretty much all vehicle mfgs in the US have a 2 week shut down period . Maintenance crews and skilled trades are usually the only ones working in the plants at this time.
All return to work on Jan 4th.

I rounded up the regular 4 day 10 hour work week as a 2 week shut down, in which our plant runs 3 crews 10 hours a day 7 days a week. I know Toyota follows around the same time frame as well as the GM plant in Ft Wayne and the VW plant in Chattanooga.
The summer shut downs roll depending on sales and order banks. Our plants order banks are through the roof so we only get one week that follows the 4th of July week.
But to shorten it down, yes, just about every plant in the US ran no production on New Years Eve.
