Re: What did you pick up today?
If you need to protect your papers from fire, get a safe that's insulated well enough to do that. Small safes are more susceptible to heat than large safes, but even a large safe with some 'fire board', aka drywall, won't cut it.
It might just barely be better than nothing, sure, but you're not protected. I KNOW they market it as protected from fire, and it has the rating, and blah blah blah. If you need to protect your documents from fire, you need to step it up past drywall/sheetrock or whatever fancy name they're giving it now. If they don't tell you how and what it is insulated with, that's a clue that they took the cheapest route possible and it is almost assuredly using some flavor of drywall.
I haven't looked into fire cabinets and the like so I honestly don't have a better company to point you to. I can look into it though, if you care to hear what I find.

Thats why I have a safe in my safe. Nobody will steal my safe with it locked up in a safe.Dave1965 wrote:Not even safes are safe in cars in Louisville.

It's an MVB ARC stock. Only one of the PDW type stocks on the market at the moment that uses a mil-spec carrier. Ones like the Troy version come with a special carrier you have to use.Tyler wrote:Details on that stock? The one I've seen before didn't seem to show that much buffer tube.

I have three or four dealers that I know that regularly get 400 or 500 count lots of them. I have no idea who they get them from or I would cut out the middlemansamb. wrote:Where do you get all these magazines?Dave1965 wrote:close to 2000 more rounds of .223/5.56

Re: What did you pick up today?
Well, I'm not reselling it, if that is what you are insinuating! I have actually given away about 2k rds to various kids and Scout troops. The rest is tucked away for my kids too shoot, whenever they want too shoot! LOL!!Dave1965 wrote:Building me a house out of them...like Gingerbread ...except different
what are you doing with all that .22 ammo
And, 22 ammo is not the only ammo I have tucked away! LOL!!
I was just curious as to why you keep buying them. No biggie...

I don't think he was saying you were selling it. I don't speak for him but my take on the post was just a curious question as you post buying a lot of .22. I just want to know who ordered all this SNOW???icehouse1 wrote:Well, I'm not reselling it, if that is what you are insinuating! Re: What did you pick up today?
I buy all of the 22 for my 3 sons.. They love to shoot and that is the cheapest way for us to do so, together. I was just wondering if he was letting any of them go. I can always use a few more mags for the ARs..LOL!jackalo626 wrote:I don't think he was saying you were selling it. please write up a review on that stock. I've been eyeing one since I first heard of them on here but not sure how good of a cheek weld you can get on one.ssracer wrote:

Re: What did you pick up today?
I wasn't questioning but that's nice you have 3 new shooters interested. I like having ammo so much I put it in sheets and sleep on thousands of dollars of brass goodness every night! I tip my waitresses with .38 if they were ok and m855 if they did a great job. It's the new currency.icehouse1 wrote:I buy all of the 22 for my 3 sons.. Re: What did you pick up today?
I will. It's gonna be a bit before I get to the range. Cheek weld obviously isn't as good as with a standard stock, but I think it'll be ok. Just gotta figure out how to work with it. It's a solid piece.gaston_kalash wrote:please write up a review on that stock.
