World of Tanks - WWII Tank Combat Game
Re: World of Tanks - WWII Tank Combat Game
Discovered that if I use a T1 tank, I can do an actual battle.

That's just a fun mode put into the game. That's not the battle mode, seems like many people are getting hung up on that. You should have a few other Tier 1 tanks- MS-1, T1 Cunningham, Leichtraktor, etc. Those are the tanks you need to start with.

Played correctly, the Luchs is a pest... that's what it's supposed to be. It's a really good tank to keep around.
The M4 is good with the 105mm, but don't try to brawl anyone with it. Stay on the moved behind decent cover or play hide n seek. Once you had the engine/tracks on it, you can circle of death larger tanks. For example, I circled and killed a Tiger I (tier 7 heavy) with my M4 (Tier 5 medium)... I used my speed to outrun his gun traverse and just ate at him.

I have everything on my M4 as well.

Re: World of Tanks - WWII Tank Combat Game
You have to choose your targets wisely in the Luchs, and almost always avoid shooting anything in the frontal armor. When the map starts, find a place where you're impossible to hit (nearly) but you can see the enemy, just briefly, enough to spot them. You're basically a hyena, wait around for the enemy to get beat up and distracted with bigger fish. Then, you speed in from their off side and pepper their side/rear armor. Your target priority should always be arty, light tanks, tank destroyers, then everything else... in that order.

That's why they were giving them away.Toddstang wrote:The T14 is an armored turd.
I don't think I've mounted the largest engine on the Luchs yet, I did upgrade to the big gun last night though. Will give it some more time.

If you have the T14 in the a match where it's the same tier or lower, that thing will dominate. Stay close to allies though, since it is easy to be flanked.Toddstang wrote:The T14 is an armored turd.
I unlocked it yesterday on the Halloween mission.

Re: World of Tanks - WWII Tank Combat Game
The M4A2E2 (?) has great armor, but I like the E8 better, faster with more mobility. The T34-85 is a pretty damn good tank.Toddstang wrote:Got the T34-85 and the M4E2? this week. Bad ass tanks!

Been getting better. Most matches finishing in top 5 others getting my ass handed to me because MM puts me at the bottom tier.

Re: World of Tanks - WWII Tank Combat Game
Get used to that, I either have fantastic games or horribly crappy ones... because of MM. When you get into a match and the other team has RELIC, THUGZ, and OTTER platoons on the other team... you're doomed. (Those are 3 of the top clans and I've had a match with three 3-man platoons of those clans).Toddstang wrote:Been getting better. Re: World of Tanks - WWII Tank Combat Game
The generic load out for almost any tank should be Gum Rammer and Vents. The third equipment slot really depends on the tank after that.
