Firearm safe
I'm looking for a small safe that can hold around 8 long rifles with room for sidearms. We don't have much in room for a large setup. I won't be around this weekend, just want to put the feeler out if somebody is upgrading.

Re: Firearm safe
I have a 12 gun safe and it is tight with 7 in it. Go bigger than you need, it sucks to remove 3 to get to the one you want.
Oh, how so high they fly........ only further to fall.

Re: Firearm safe
And buy a real safe.....not a stack on storage cabinet. From what i have seen there isnt a very large secondary market for safes. Best deals are black friday sales. MOst secondary markets are estate sales and craigs list. I honestly dont think i have ever seen one for sale on her. Good luck to ya. Ill be in the market for one soon as well.

Re: Firearm safe
I wish we had room for a real safe, only place there is remotely any room is possibly in the living room or my daughter's room, that's not happening. I'm not wanting one for a fast break in response, I have that already. I just need to more secure storage. Uh, you are right, I NEED to go big.

Re: Firearm safe
Storage go with a stack on locking cabinet. Security buy a decent sized safe because like other said they fill up quick and never seem to hold as many as they claim.

Re: Firearm safe
A stackon cabinet will run you around $150 ish. An actual safe around 350 ish for a non fire rated model. Bad part about a safe is it sucks to move... Good part about a safe is it sucks to move

Re: Firearm safe
If you are wanting it for safety from the kids, a lockable cabinet is fine. If you want theft protection, you need one that weighs more than a few hundred pounds. Otherwise they will just take the entire safe. Happens all the time.

Re: Firearm safe
So today I was out on Westport road so I stopped at Willis Klien. Well I purchased a nice safe. Now I just have to figure out how to justify this to the lady. Lol
