Ak74 knife

Post by justang1997 » Sat Oct 19, 2013 6:43 pm

So I lost my desert tan boker plus ak74 knife. It was a switchblade. It was $40. It was awesome. So the other day I saw one in etown. It's black and non serrated but I got it anyways to fill the void in my soul.
Guess what. It's not automatic. Ok so I hop on bladehq and order some springs.
Guess what. The handle isn't milled deep enough for the springs so I have to take about 2mm of material out of the spring hole.
What the fuck has the country come to when you can't buy a GD knife that opens with the push of a button? I feel like some prohibition era gangster making whiskey in the basement. I'm not a machinist. I have no desire to be. I just want my auto open boker back.

Well I know a machinist who happens to have a mill

And I think he has a counter bore that is made for the coil spring used for some automatic knife springs

Is it a real boker plus you picked up justang? I grabbed one the other day and it is definitely a counterfeit/fake......

I'm pretty sure it's real. I heard that they were sued by benchmade and can't make their knives switchblade in the USA and can't have the safety's installed. They have to be sold as button lock now and converted by the owner.
Fit and finish is excellent. Blade is serial numbered. It seems just like my last one.
