Check out senate bill 232. Your CLEO,under law, will have to sign your NFA documents!! This is huge for Fayette County and any other county that the CLEO will not sign because he/she is a dick.It was signed into law on Friday.

Senate Bill 232, sponsored by state Senator Brandon Smith (R-30), requires that a chief law enforcement officer (CLEO) sign an application for the transfer of any item regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA) within fifteen days if the applicant is not prohibited by law from receiving it. By removing any possibility of personal bias and creating a statewide standard, SB 232 protects the rights of law-abiding gun owners across the Bluegrass State.

Still prefer to go the Trust route but this is a huge win!

And only 15 days to sign it.
Im sure the "Dicks" will make you wait 15 days.

My one experience in Henry Co was fantastic. Walked in, sheriff greeted me and shook my hand, filled out papers and printed me. Then we bullshitted about guns and bitched about government and I went home. All in under an hour from the time I left the house and until I walked back in, and it's about a 30 mile round trip. I love living in a small town...

We are fortunate here in Jefferson Co. that Sheriff Aubrey is a man of integrity and actually does his job. I've never figured out how that happened here, but I am very grateful for it. I have never had any trouble dealing with the Sheriff's dept, unlike LMPD.

The process in jefferson county is a pain. Getting fingerprinted is the worst of the process because the hours aren't convenient but at least it's possible

The only problem with this is when the mandatory CLEO signature is required. If you were to live in a locale that has nobody that is willing to sign you would be SOL. This will ensure that there is a provision for those people to exercise their right to own an NFA item.

Much the way it should be. It's a good thing to be on a first name basis with these guys!

Every eligible person that can sign for NFA items in Fayette county will laugh at you. They have not signed for years. Save a couple items I know of for some officers. I have offered anyone that lives in Fayette county that wants to go down for a signature,my services for free. I also have an attorney that would handle things on their behalf if the CLEO refuses to sign. I would love to see Kathy Witts face.

I dont see a CLEO signature needed for a Trust or Corporation any time soon. But who knows what the Soros puppet, Lord Barry oBama, will do with his pen and phone.



I will personally get a form signed for my SBR just to be a dick even though I have a Trust. Lets make it a group outting to Kathy Witts office.

Its about time this passed. But just because it says 15 days doesn't mean they will do it by then. Since there is no penalty if they don't get it done.

Thats the whole purpose of the law and why the timeframe was included. If they refuse to sign or dont get around to it,it will open them up to litigation.
