This was predictable, its the road we have been on for nearly 100 years. Like all Processes though, it needs to run it course and slowing down the rate that it happens just means we spend longer in limbo. Sure I would be happy if we could just turn things around and head a better direction, but again that means spending more time in this faze. The point to witch ill be happy about the direction of this country is so far in the past reaching it by means of a simple change of direction would take several lifetimes, but to reach it going the current direction seems like a shorter journey.

My first job I was making $4.35 an hour as a auto mechanic at G-Auto. Minimum wage just went up right before I got the job and I felt like I hit the lottery! My Dad told me that the MW usually went up around .25 cents every three years back then and that was about spot on.
I worked my ass off for $150 a week until I got all my ASE Certifications then my pay went up to $5.75 in 1986!

No one knows how to make change anymore. If the register doesn't tell them how much to give you back, they're lost. Try giving them a a bill, let them enter that, then give them the coins so all you get back is bills with no loose change. They have to call a manager to override the original entry or figure it out for them. Some of the managers are just as bad.
