Guessing the libs won't be saying the same thing they were when Sandra Day O'Connor retired. They were all saying that a moderate should be nominated to replace her to keep the make-up of the court's demeanor the same. This is going to be ugly.

Re: Justice Scalia has died
Leaves Roberts, Alito, and Thomas as the staunchly right wing, Kennedy and Breyer in the middle or center left, Kagan, Ginsberg, and Sotamayor firmly on the left. Just makes the election in November that much more important. There are 3 justices that are as old or older as Scalia. He was going to be 80. There will probably be a couple retirements soon. Hopefully after the election and we win.

I supposed it could be possible that no one could be confirmed before the next President is sworn in. But, my guess is Obama will be tripping over himself to nominate someone as soon as Scalia is in the ground.

Pmags $80 yet on CTD?
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Now we get to see if the Senate GOP has a spine or not.

We will see. I have been so disheartened by Sen. McConnell`s actions but now he may be able to fulfill his position.

Mike Lee's (leading Repub on Senate Judiciary Com) press secretary tweeted something to the effect of- What is less than zero? The chances that any Obama Judiciary Noms even see a vote in the Senate. RIP Justice Scalia
