Interesting article by the times. Is Obama/Biden really concerned about possibility of passage or are they just trying to do a bait and switch?

I think they are seeing the reality. But expect the to go HARD after things like magazine capacity and "universal background checks"

One thing they are not is dumb. I think they put out there the ban that they wanted, but knew they would never get. That way we feel good when we only get slapped with a few more "minor" restrictions and they can call it a compromise.

Kind of like always asking for more than you expect for something so the buyer feels good about "talking you down" to what you really wanted.
