GE

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

I don't see how they paid $0 in taxes. But I'd like to see something factual other then I picture someone typed up.

If its true then... Well I can't wait till November.

Do some googleing, people have been screaming about this for some time. It's actually been a while since it was brought up. I just happened across the poster last night, but it's been an issue for some time.

I don't get much time for news watching so Google will definitely be my friend on this one.

Even the All Barack Channel (ABC) has brought this up.

Not defending them in any way, but as with most corporations they have to pay quarterly taxes. So while at the end of the year they paid zero, I'm sure during that year they paid out quite a bit. If im wrong on this then that is really messed up, but I just cant see how that could be so with them making 14 billion in profits.

this happens right here in Loserville, and has for decades- as long as you sheep kept re-electing Mayor Jerry Giant Head.
You would crap in your pants if you knew the back-door, dirty, under the table dealings that your Mayor-For-Life did and got away with.

Zero taxes? That's the least of it.

As long as I have a job there, I don't care what they do.

Exactly.
Pisses me off when people blame the workers and the like, when they are only putting food on the table. The workers cant help what the brass at the top does.

I 100% agree, same goes for unions and the like. It is never the hard workers at the bottoms fault or cause of what is going on at the top, but unfortunately they suffer the consequences when one of the high paid execs screws up. Everybody's gotta make a living and by no means is any of this corporate/ union America the fault of the workers.

My dad worked there for 32 years. My entire childhood and everything I had as a kid was because of his hard work at GE. I'm glad to be there doing the same for my kids. Yes, I'll feel the sting if something happens at the top but thats no different from any other business including the military.

Honestly, I could care less if they paid any taxes as long as they are not hiding it overseas (which I think GE is doing). If a ccorporation can ZERO out their tax liability they have had to spend money to grow the business.

that creates jobs.

That is what we need right now.

Give MORE tax breaks to small businesses that INVEST in themselves (not just the GE's that can afford to spend billions in lobbying!) and lets get this economy moving.
