Okay, screw 'em

Post by ChopperDoc » Tue Dec 18, 2012 12:43 pm

Dick's Sporting Goods has decided to halt the sale of certain semi-automatic rifles from its stores nationwide and pull all guns from shelves in the stores nearest Newtown, Conn., in the wake of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Wally world is pulling the AR.

Fuck 'em. They will get no more money from me. I hope more consumers put pressure on them too. I doubt it, but they crossed my line in the sand and I ain't moving it.

Sorry Gundoc.

I would bet there's not any left to pull.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Okay, Gundoc, please tell me this is not true:

"Dick's also pulled the Ruger 10/22 and airsoft replicas of the AR-15"

I went to kygunco yesterday to look around but didnt buy anything , we went over to wally world and they had 1 dpms sportster for 597.00 so I made it mine , the clerk said it just came in at 11 this was at 1. Then hear that wally and dicks are pulling all the evil black killing machines  The big thing for the media to mention " I mean good god you can buy one of the guns at walmart" well you can also buy a baseball bat and a set of butcher knives. Correct me if Iam wrong but isnt this a form of gun control

sure it is. It is them doing it from fear of being labeled and losing business.

I hope they lose more business because of their lack of balls.

Dick's is was and always has been a joke anyways.
As for Walmart, well at least I won't have to walk through 3 episodes of Cops to buy anything gun related again.

Coming up next, sooner than you think, FFL forms for baseball bats and kitchen knives. And a waiting period.

honestly this isn't a bad thing to me, i don't want anti-gun or fence-sitters to make a profit on something they dislike,
i'd much rather see pro-humanright(to natural self defense) gunstores instead become giants in the marketplace. look how many new AR15 makers popped up during the first term of o. i hope all of them FLOURISH.

line in the sand is right - i want to separate myself from people who are against basic God-given human rights. with my employment, with my purchases, and in my social life.

was talking to the owner of my LGS earlier, very small shop. Told him I saw that dicks and wallyworld were dropping AR's and he was happy.

I have to agree, it seems they only started carrying them because they saw the money they werent getting by not carrying them..... I dont thing wal-mart needs to try and put all small businesses out but that is what they do.....

I haven't been in a Walmart in 8+ years, and very limited before that. I grew up in a small town and witnessed the devastation they have on America. Walmart can rot in socialist hell!

I used to buy stuff from Dicks sporting goods about once a week though nothing much gun related. However they have totally lost my business. I go to walmart about twice a year so avoiding those couple trips will be no problem. I bought ammo at meijer last night
