Stock talk. Now featuring 200% MORE CRYPTO!

I have used Robinhood, webull, Td Ameritrade (just for my Roth IRA) and fidelity. Robinhood is a really easy application to use but business dealings are pretty shady. Webull (who is Chinese owned) has tons of information available but can be overwhelming till all the different indicators are learned. I don’t really do active trading in td and it’s a new account for me. Fidelity is where I keep my trading funds, but their mobile app sucks for trading. The desktop version is marginally better. I keep my webull account to get data but it’s not funded.

Wondering if I should sell my Ford stock, knew you can't totally dump a major car company like this for long. It was like at 9 when I got it and now at 16 :). As it dropped I kept buying it..had to support TODD (haha)...but really seemed like a no-brainer to get it while low.
Without knowing the future of automobiles, gas, and who wins out in the electric world, I'd dump it, take the profit with a smile and push it into a mutual fund(Or ETF) to protect it a little better for the end game push. I have high risk tolerance but I don't like playing with single stocks.

Your own!! We can only tell you what we would do. If you've managed your money on your own long enough that you can afford to make this decision, your own belly knows best!! Otherwise take advice from someone with more money than you and has been doing it longer than you and if 1965 is your birth year, it ain't me :P

I’ve never played a crash, but I’m bleeding and don’t believe in fiat enough to keep my money in cash.

Nobody wants to talk about the loses. Only the winners.
Today is not a good day. So far. Image

It’s not a lose or a win until you sell.

Anything else is counting your money at the table.

I've had a wonderful couple of weeks in the market. They are having a Christmas sale on everything. Pushed in the final 20k in from selling the condo. I love the holidays :)

Hey Crypto guys,
I found my old wallet that had like 6 bucks in BTC left in it when I was mining. I now have a few hundred to play with so been nosing around Coinbase and have a question.

Are these market caps in USD not native coin?

Thanks,
Just wading in.

With $40k USD staked in Eth 2.0 and the delays, I’m getting nervous. Current staking rates are way more than any bank but way risky.

At this point if you are invested in crypto you might have a diminished mental capacity or you are a glutton for punishment. Just my semi professional opinion.

That shit is just too new to me. The stock market is more trust worthy to me.
Although currently I can't really back that up with data. LOL

It's not about what its at today. It's about what it's at when you retire. The markets aren't down. They are just having a sale. I bumped my 401k withholding up another 2 percent. It's all part of the ebb and flow of the markets.

Good way to look at it.

I don't mess with crypto, but I have been looking into some of my options with a retirement account that I can roll over.

The lions share of my retirement is in the market. I just have enough of a taste in Crypto to enjoy it.

Absolutely. Again pick any 10 year period in history and the market is up. It’s a long term game. You only lose it if you sell it when it’s down. No one needs every dollar they have right now. It’s long term. Play it that way

If you are looking for more retirement savings. Use a ROTH IRA. You save after tax dollars, no tax deduction today. But as long as you wait until at least age 59.5 to start taking money out, then you get tax free growth on that money and get to pull it out tax free after age 59.5. Granted you have to be under the income limits for the year to save this way. You can put in up to $6k per year.

If you wanted to also do a traditional IRA. Again you put in up to $6k per year, you get a tax deduction for the contribution but when you start pulling money out in the future (after age 59.5 or you pay 10% penalty to Uncle Sam) it counts as ordinary income.
