UTG stuff works I think it is heavier than most (rails) rail covers suck. Bought several pairs of Bino (NC Star) for deer stands and they didn't last. Also had M4 red dot that would not hold zero. I like my Primary arms stuff and is cheap

Doesn't matter. Both would be fine to use in the field.

I have the UTG "sniper" grip on my AR because anything is better than the plastic stick that comes on them and I like the way it feels. but it is hard to mess up something like a grip. cannot say I would waste the money on a optic from either.

I've used no name optics and bsa red dots and never had an issue. Used em on my ar. I have never used utg or nc star but they look exactly the same. My ncstar golf ball launcher was the dirtiest most unfinished piece of unpainted steel I have ever seen. The thing won't even thread on more than a few turns. I need to re tap the threads.

I've used a BSA red dot on my 10/22 before. Zeroed it once and never had any issues. I think it's a decent optic for the price.

My grandpa actually used a Remington 750 in .308 with a BSA red dot for deer hunting. That was when he was in his late 80's/early 90's.
Eagerly awaiting the XDS release...
