I have a Glinefield model 10
I have my grandfathers' old Glinefield model 10 single shot, bolt action, .22 rifle. It was hanging in his shed out back for as long as I can remember, he passed away a few years back and I've had the gun now for about ummmm 3 or 4 years now. I haven't fired it, she is broken, I want to get her fixed up and I want to use her to hunt squirrel like my grand daddy did.

Awesome! Why'd you make this thread? :p
That's really cool, but did you need something (help locating info/parts/etc.), want to have somewhere to post about your project, or did you just want to tell us?
Cool either way, and I'm glad you were able to hang on to a family rifle.

Re: I have a Glinefield model 10
to be honest with you... I have no Idea.... I'm drinking and just love to hear from you guys lolzzzzz
o.O I think I'm looking for a gun smith to help me fix her. The problem with her is. There are two "Brackets?" that come down over the trigger on each side, and on the right hand side of her one is broken. So I can still "use" her it just takes some working to pull that firing pin back and I do NOT want to do that. I don't feel that it is safe for me or the gun to be using her. I haven't put ammo in her since I've gotten her, and idk when the last time gramps put ammo in her.

If it's not a part you can just replace, Cranky is good at stuff like that.

Your grandfather's .22 is the same as my first .22 (which I still have). Should I feel old?
These are pretty simple rifles. Numrich will have any parts you might need.

Re: I have a Glinefield model 10
well if ya were to take her apart from the wood stock, and look down to the trigger, there are two little latches, or brackets on both side of the trigger to keep it in place, well on the right hand side one is snapped. I hope I can get her fixed. This is defiantly something I would like to have, use, and eventually pass down when I settle down. It wont hold the firing pin back when I cock it, unless I push the bolt handle up just a tad bit, and if you touch the trigger it goes off, or push the bolt any lol. I deem it not safe as would any sane, responsible, gun owner lol.
