Meh, I almost bought an ar7 but the more I thought about it the more I came to realize, in an actualy place you would need something like this, your sure not going to want to have to fiddle with assembling the rifle before use

Nice looking, looks like they borrowed the lock mechanism from browning. I'll stay with my tried and true Marlin 70 Papoose.
Oh, how so high they fly........ only further to fall.

Needs a threaded barrel. I guess I will still get a 70p and have cranky do the barrel.

Just came from 111 and they had a stainless one for $309
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Re: Anybody see the new 10/22 takedown?
I got to fondle one at Sporters Express last week....
Nice rifles....the barrel was easy to take on and off and locked up nice and tight...
They seem a tad on the big side for a back pack gun.....they will def work as intended, that was just my first impression...
That said, if it wasnt spoke for, I would have bought it...
Would like to try one out...

Re: Anybody see the new 10/22 takedown?
Jeff Quinn did a nice video review on the GunBlast channel on YouTube.

Here's the article for those who like to read and see hi-res pictures and more detailed info.

I'm still awfully fond of my Kel-Tec SU-22C for that particular firearms niche.
![Image](http://209.197.93.201/SU-22C-15RoundMag-FoldedA.jpg)
I was just messing around with the vertical forend grip, and I swapped out the 4X TruGlo scope for a slightly larger 3-9X40 Sightron scope. No assembly required. Just unfold the butt stock and start shooting. I do wish it was stainless like that take down 10/22, but Kel-Tec doesn't do stainless.![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)
I'm anxiously awaiting the Kel-Tec RMR-30, the .22 magnum 30 shot carbine with the double stack mag inside the pistol grip. It has a collapsible stock to make it essentially a 16" barrel pistol for storage or crazy inaccurate shooting, and it'll have a .22 LR conversion kit. Too fun!

One is sitting in HiTek, up in Sellersburg.
Definitely need the barrel turned, then it would be complete.

Which is the only reason I would buy one. I image companies will make lighter barrels and compact stocks for it, but then you're looking at spending well over $500 for a backpack .22.JustShootIt wrote:They seem a tad on the big side for a back pack gun.

It would be nice if they sold it without the carrying case.
Personally, I'd rather buy the less expensive 10/22 Compact. It's shorter, weighs less, and it's not really that hard to unscrew one screw to make it easy to carry in/on a backpack.
