Old Shotguns

Post by RecoilSensitive » Mon Feb 03, 2025 10:06 pm

I inherited some old shotguns from my uncle, some were my grandfathers. Where can I take them in Lou area to be appraised. some of them are over 100 years old.

got a couple break barrels but no sxs. will post those later. if anyone has any value ideas let me know. the 1100 was one my grandfather shot skeet with and was my first gun to shoot, plus I have the matching 12ga. the others idk where they came from. I am up to 13 shotguns and really don't need that many.

The model 12 I'd put between $1000-$1500 depending on condition and who's looking at it. The Iver Johnson and Stevens around $200-$250 depending on model, gauge and age.

ya the 12 I see one small spot toward end of barrel but rest of finish looks good. seems to be that wood grade with that age good shape about 15-17 on GB. if it had everything the same with a back diamond on stock it jumps to 3k lol. so many little things.

the break barrels I know are not worth much. the first is a 12 second is a 20.

CONDITION IS EVERYTHING on the model 12 and grade of stocks. The single shots are good SOLID users and are undervalued in today's market.
