Re: 14
I wonder how legitimate those are. Sure, they might fit through a loophole, but what else can they get you on?

Re: 14
They've been doing it for a while now and their home page and details don't seem to have changed, which I take to mean that the hammer hasn't dropped on them or how they operate.Jakob wrote:I wonder how legitimate those are. You would run into potential trouble based on whether your state has any further restrictive laws.

Re: 14 " Mossberg not NFA
Just like a forward pistol grip on a AR pistol with a OAL of 26 inch( or whatever it is)
The question is why?
If I want a short barrel AOW then that is what I would get.
Legal since 2010 but only with the factory barrel and the birds head grip

Re: 14
OK, maybe it's just me, but the only thing this thing seems good for would be as a trench or street sweeper. Not accurate beyond a pitched baseball, at best. Hitting a flying bird would be blind dumb luck. If you want a breaching weapon, there are much better, much more controllable weapons available.
The only real function this serves, it seems to me, is to flout a loophole in another in a long line of bad laws. Am I over thinking it?

No fee or waiting time and the ability to use and transport your property without the government's permission slip. You can also transfer to someone and get your money out of it without another 6+ month wait.guncrank1 wrote:Just like a forward pistol grip on a AR pistol with a OAL of 26 inch( or whatever it is)

Not that I care to have one, especially at the premium they're charging, but that would the only logic I see in it.

I don't believe you're overthinking it. In fact, I think you were generous in your assessment.Wyldman wrote:OK, maybe it's just me, but the only thing this thing seems good for would be as a trench or street sweeper. The only use I can conceive of for the thing (other than serving as a curiosity) is "looking cool."
I have a standard Mossberg "cruiser" that was left at my house by an ex-boyfriend of my youngest daughter. I invoked the "any property left at my house overnight becomes mine" clause in the standard dating contract and put a Hogue short LOP buttstock on it at the earliest opportunity.

Re: 14
Yea, why would anyone want one? It looks like it is a little to big, When my form one gets back I'll have one with a 7.5 inch barrel.

Even with the tax stamp, it will be cheaper than one of these.

I was only going to build one...
