New Guy
Hello everyone, been to this site many times, and just now joined. I took my conceal carry class, and I am awaiting my card. I would like to take more classes, with a handgun, and with my ar-15. I know RWI is changing owners, and it will be a while before they are offering classes. I would like to take some active shooter classes, and any class that will help me become more proficient with my weapons. I know the first step in carrying concealed is getting the liscense, but I also know that the class I took is nowhere near enough training to feel comfortable carrying it daily. A little about myself, I have been around guns my whole life, my father retired from the Army after 24 years, so I am an Army brat, and my Uncle was a Captain on the Richmond Virginia police force for many years, and they both taught me gun safety at an early age, and I also have hunted since I was 12. My son is now in the Army, and I travel to see him often, he has his conceal carry in Georgia. I would like smaller classes with a lot of one on one instruction, with emphasis on carrying concealed, proper draw, sight pictures, and pretty much anything I can learn. I cannot seem to find anything on the internet, so really looking to train, and be a responsible gun owner....Thanks for any help you can give me.....

Welcome! Show up to a few of our shooting outings and learn from some of the best people you never heard of before. Matt and a few others having spent a lot of time and energy training out compatriots on here. I used to try to help out as much as I could, but now live in Texas and can't be there for these events any more.

Re: New Guy
welcome
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Re: New Guy
I'm still offering private courses, if you are interested in training. I hope to have a new training calendar up this summer... right now my instructor duties are being obligated to the regional training institute up north. However I will have a couple weeks here and there between courses. Feel free to send me a pm with any questions that you might have.chaseman31 wrote:Thanks for the welcome, much appreciated!!!
