Thanks for all the input, guys. Keep this discussion going if you want. I might end up waiting a little longer and buying my friend's Rem 700, since I know it's a quality item that's already zeroed.
But I love the HK slap...decisions decisions.

Any HK91 clone sucks, complete waste of 308 and questionable as a 22LR
Sighting in a rifle is easy as 3 shots and if you are willing to buy a rifle because its already sighted in rather then learn how to do it yourself well ....308 is a waste on you. The Mossburg atr rifles can be had under 300 from buds and are a great way to get in to cheap 308.
