Ruger Gunsite Scout or Savage 10FCM Scout

Post by AErrorist » Fri Dec 28, 2012 10:57 pm

Sold my target Remington 700 and picked up a Springfield M1A Scout Squad. But I would still like to have a light handy bolt action rifle. So I've more or less narrowed it down to one of these two, either the Savage 10FCM Scout, or the Ruger Gunsite. I don't imagine either is going to get terribly expensive any time soon, but might as well pick one up now.

I have had both. The Savage is accurate but I never liked the handling. I only have the Ruger Gunsite Scout now. It is a bit heavy, holds position well (steady). The polymer mags seem quieter and fit more snug than the expensive metal mag. Happy hunting. Geno
