Anyone been there?
Is it cool?
Can a guy my size (still got a bit of a belly and tipping the scales at 215) handle it?
They don't use harnesses. How soft do you land? Chance of injury?

I guess there was only one way to find out...
Had a blast. An employee spent about 15 minutes giving me a quick lesson. She taught me the very basics. Watched me do a couple climbs. Taught me to fall and turned me loose. Good times.

I didn't have any accidental falls. The easiest problems (Which is what a climb is called. Who knew) are labeled with a V0 (Like V0-V10 or something). In this particular case it was the green holds (You use the same color on a given problem). They are the largest gripping area. Not easy to slip off of at all. When I "fell" a couple times, it was as I was climbing back down and at about 6 feet off the ground just jumped. Also couple times I started, and couldn't solve the problem and just jumped again from probably 6 feet. I suspect the falling happens more on the harder climbs with the smaller hand holds.
