Re: Full Auto AK
If it is not sold to an 07/02 FFL (meaning you) I wouldnt touch it. No new MGs transferable to civilians post '86. Sooooo. No conversions for individuals.

Full Auto AK
I'm far from an expert, but I don't think that could be legal. In fact, possession of while owning a semi auto ak could show intent. Tread carefully here. This question was posed purely out of curiosity, right?

Full Auto AK
I wouldn't touch that with a 10ft pole unless I was federally licensed to make full auto

Re: Full Auto AK
If you have possession of a kit and drill and a AK you are illegal
Period unless you are a 07/SOT.
What you have even if you did not buy it is intent which can get you in club fed.

Full Auto AK
I don't own a AK and have never even held one but I have seen one of those kits before and it seems like there was a copy of a letter from ATF with it but I don't remember what it said. There was also a date on the letter which I don't remember either. It seems this was some kind of conversion that was sold legally at one time and I was just wanting to know if it was something that used to be common.

I am trying to picture what this "kit" looks like.

Re: Full Auto AK
I think there was an auto sear or something similar for AK's back before 1986.scorpionmain wrote:I am trying to picture what this "kit" looks like.

So what as stated it was only legal if converted before 1986.
Since this 2013 it is so much scrap unless you have a 07/SOT
Twice stated is twice as easy to understand.
